Founded in 1291, The last of the great Dominican houses in Ireland, The priory was the subject to the judgement of King Edward I of England almost before a stone was laid!

Containing some of the finest architecture of medieval Ireland, the priory was patroned by the Earl's of Desmond and White Knight's FitzGibbon.
The last standing of 5 original gates into Kilmallock, and lucky to still be here as only in the 1970's it was to be demolished!
